A major restructuring of the Stuttgart railway node, replacing the existing terminus station with an underground through station. The project includes 57 km of new tunnels under the city and surrounding hills, enabling faster north-south and east-west connections. The Neubaustrecke Wendlingen–Ulm (completed 2022) is a sub-project of Stuttgart 21.
